I’ve just returned from a 10-day trip through the Rocky Mountains. From Bozeman, Montana down through Denver, Colorado and on to Breckenridge, Colorado and then Fruita, Colorado (where this photo of an amazing sunset was taken) and Moab, Utah. I took a bit of a hiatus from 72ppi for a bit during the trip. Normally when I leave like that I’d schedule some posts to go out but this time I decided not to.
Instead I took a lot of photos with my iPhone which I published on Instagram. This was a new process for me but which was a natural extension of what I had set out to do with 72ppi. 72ppi was conceived walking to school in Portland in 2003. I wanted to post cell phone photos of things that caught my eye and overheard conversations on the street. Twitter has come to fill both of those functions. Through Instagram or any number of other tools I can immediately take, manipulate and post a photo and some genius came up with OH: on Twitter. Mabye if I had made 72ppi a social tool instead of a blog I’d be a rich retired gen-xer by now.
I’m going to continue to post to 72ppi but will probably start working to integrate it with the other tools (Instagram and Twitter primarily) that I am already using on my phone. In the meantime you can subscribe to my Twitter feed or follow me on Instagram, my user name is: jbergantine in both instances.
