A sun dog, a halo that forms around the sun, caused by ice crystals diffracting the light. We saw this sun dog when we were on top of Rendezvous Peak in Jackson Hole, Wyoming last weekend.

  • nice catch. haven’t seen one of these in a while. i don’t think they’re that easy to catch with a camera.
