Manhattan Island from the Empire State Building

Posted on | Shot on at 18:00:00

I was surprised as we were looking down from the top of the Empire State building how many buildings had gold roofing. You can see a few of them of this Photo looking out towards Wall Street and Brooklyn. But there were even more closer to the Empire State Building. I’m not sure that it was necessarily gold on the caps but it sure looked that way in the afternoon sun.

  • Beautiful cityscape, and I think this also would do nicely as a tilt-shift image.

  • yep, that’s definitely a great view you captured here.. those gold tipped buildings sure give life to the dull, grey city.. very nice shot..

  • wow that looks unbelievably dense from where i am now. i love the intensity in this image – also love the rich blacks in this.
