red leaves covered in moisture on a railing on an overpass on I405

Wet Autumn Leaves

Posted on | Shot on at 17:00:00

In stark contrast to yesterday’s low-key image from Portland, a high-key photograph from almost the exact same spot near Portland State University. Michelle actually inspired me to post this after her commentary on her Friday photo.

  • Bonsoir,
    Nice poetic shot..Beautiful composition..Bravo!

  • @Philip haha. There isn’t too much to say. These plants grow on the overpasses along I405. It was a stormy, wet morning and I noticed how brilliant these leaves were since they stood out from the background as the fog had settled over the West Hills (I think it might have even snowed that day). Anyway, it’s about 4-feet up I think where I took them shooting up to use the fog as a background.

  • :) thanks for the mention! i love the shapes of these and that fantastic white sky.
