Hiking the Fingers at Bridger Bowl

Posted on | Shot on at 17:00:00

Until this year, with the opening of the Schlashman’s chair lift, the only way to ski the Fingers, a series of chutes off of a nob on the south side of Bridger Bowl, was by hiking up from the top of the Pierre’s Knob chair lift. Now there’s access from the ridge, but as with yesterday, the new chair doesn’t always run. So we hike.

  • Beautiful shot man. It just looks so serene and quiet. Must be the place to be.
Love what you’ve done with the color toning. Looks kinda polaroid

  • it’s called exercise.. LOL! and at least you were able to shoot some frames too.. this does look like taken from a Polaroid.. great tones.. :)

  • @Rian Hahaha :) I actually really enjoy the hike. It’s kind of quiet, warms you up. It used to be that you had to earn the upper mountain. Now anyone, more or less, can ride it. All my good lines get skied within the first couple runs.

  • yeah i’m not buying the quiet, peaceful stroll piece-of-cake bit. that looks like a huff puff to get up there. cool shot though with a great tree!

  • Hiking in snow is tough, you have to be in good shape. Beautiful capture of this lovely winter landscape.

  • Cool shot, great composition and I like the tones and the color tint.

  • Beautiful cyan’s in this photo. Really dreamy looking, nice work!
