trees sporting just a bit of yellow leaf

Winter Trees

Posted on | Shot on at 18:00:00

In contrast to yesterday’s image, this one turned out exactly how I wanted in post-processing. This is a winter image shot in Sourdough Canyon along Bozeman Creek, just south of Bozeman. What drew me to these trees was the rigid complementary contrast of the yellow leaves against the blue sky. With a little bit of cross-processing I was able to really emphasize that.

  • i admit, the contrast of those leaves against the sky is really what makes this image shine.. nice work! :)

  • Stunning image Joe. Gorgeous yellow leaves, and I agree they contrast so very well against that spectacular blue sky. A phenomenal post processing work.

  • Yeah the sky looks awesome here and the texture in the trees are great too.

  • a monument for a tree, phantastic image with awesome colours and a nearly surreal impression!
