Eddie, when he was a lot smaller, running through the grass on state land south of Bozeman. I don’t think he could be happier.
I had a lot of problems learning how to shoot him. Most of my photos came out as this dark little mass — eventually I figured out unless it was noon, a little fill flash went a long ways. In this shot, focusing through the windy grass, there’s a little flash-induced blur and those two foremost stems are a little blown out. Maybe not the most technically perfect photograph but I think his expression makes up for it.
