red leaves against a cement wall

Red Leaves

Posted on | Shot on at 18:00:00

I was riding my bike home along South Tracy Avenue one afternoon and noticed these red leaves hanging over a cement wall. I went back and shot a number of photos of them. One of them became the inspiration for an acrylic painting, now hanging behind me after I used the images as part of a background texture in the 2007 Trophy Ridge catalog.

  • yep, a simple, yet effective shot.. the red leaves against that gritty wall looks great.. nice shot..

  • the leaves feel strong and determined. i can see why they would inspire a painting. they work well photographed too.
