Palm Trees

We recently returned from a two-week-or-so trip to Hawaii where I shot bucketloads of photos. So, plenty to share.

These palm trees where in Lahaina, on Maui. I found that palm trees had a lot more character than pines—tall and spindly, their relaxed heads moving with the trade winds—and consequently made them at least secondary subjects when I was shooting. The person we were staying with, who lives in Honolulu, pointed out that they were rather touristy—apologies in advance if you see palm trees everyday—at least I’m pretty sure the composition and lighting aren’t total crap.
