Stone Arch Bridge

Fourth of July in downtown Minneapolis. People pause on the Stone Arch Bridge to watch the Mississippi as it pushes through town.

  • I like these warm colors.
Do you know what everyone is looking at ?

  • Just the view up the river. You can see most of downtown Minneapolis from this point and there’s a rather interesting inlet right below the mill on the far side of the bank. The pedestrian bridge catered to people both out for a stroll, with sidewalk vendors and what not, as well as serious bicycle and pedestrian commuters, who needed to get from one side of the river to the other.
